These Terms & Conditions govern your use of mjgorgeous.com and any bookings, enquiries, or services provided by MJ Gorgeous Makeup Studio. By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the website or proceed with booking.

1. Services Offered

MJ Gorgeous Makeup Studio provides professional beauty services including but not limited to:

  • Bridal makeup

  • Engagement, reception, sangeet, cocktail, haldi makeup

  • Party and occasion makeup

  • Makeup trials and consultations

  • Groom and family makeup

  • Hair styling services

  • Personal grooming sessions (where available)

Services may vary based on availability, location, and event timelines.

2. Booking and Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • Required details are shared by the client, and

  • A booking amount (advance) is paid (where applicable), and

  • Confirmation is communicated by MJG via email or written message

Submitting a form on the website does not automatically guarantee availability.

We reserve the right to accept or decline bookings at our discretion.

3. Pricing and Payments

Our service prices are published on our bridal makeup pricing page and are fixed. The price shown for each function is the price charged, not a starting point.

Prices do not change based on reporting time, venue within Bangalore, or the technique chosen. HD and airbrush makeup are priced identically.

Travel is the only cost charged in addition to the published service price, and is set out in the Travel section below.

Any requirement outside our published services is quoted individually and confirmed in writing before booking. No charge is added after a booking has been confirmed.

Inclusions and Exclusions

Every service price includes makeup, hairstyling, and saree or lehenga draping. This applies to bridal bookings and to family and bridesmaid bookings alike.

The following are not included in the service price: hair extensions, hair accessories, and travel.

Groom’s makeup includes makeup, hair, and draping where required. It does not include hair cutting or beard trimming, which should be completed beforehand.

Any requirement beyond this is discussed during consultation and confirmed in writing before booking.

4. Rescheduling and Date Changes

We understand wedding plans change.

  • Rescheduling requests must be shared as early as possible

  • Rescheduling is subject to artist availability

  • If the new date is unavailable, it may be treated as a cancellation

Any advances paid may be adjusted at MJG’s discretion depending on timelines and commitment already made.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Due to the nature of wedding bookings and blocked dates:

  • Booking amounts or advances are generally non-refundable, unless explicitly agreed in writing

  • If the client cancels close to the event date, the full amount may be applicable depending on the stage of preparation and blocked schedule

Any refund decisions (if applicable) are at the sole discretion of MJG and will be processed within a reasonable time.

6. Trial Makeup Policy (If Applicable)

  • Trials are recommended for brides who want full clarity on final look and style preferences

  • Trial results may vary depending on skin condition on the trial day vs wedding day, sleep, hydration, tanning, skincare routine, weather conditions, and event timings

The bridal makeup trial is charged separately and is not adjusted against or deducted from the wedding booking. Trials are scheduled after the consultation, once the wedding date, venue and functions are understood. The current trial fee is shown on our bridal makeup pricing page.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the best results, the client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate event details (location, timings, function type)

  • Share any allergies, sensitivities, medical skin conditions, or past reactions (if known)

  • Maintain basic pre-event skincare and hygiene routines as advised

  • Ensure a clean, well-lit space with proper seating and access to power (where required)

  • Ensure readiness of outfit, jewelry, and essentials on time

  • Avoid last-minute major changes in makeup or hair reference expectations

Our team arrives at the agreed reporting time. If the client is not ready at that time, the available working time reduces accordingly and the look is adapted to the time remaining.

If additional time beyond the scheduled slot is needed because of client-side delays, a time extension fee applies, as set out in our Booking, Cancellation & Service Policy. We ask clients to be ready at the agreed time so this can be avoided and so we can reach any following booking on schedule.

8. Artist Arrival, Setup, and Event Timings

  • Call time will be discussed and finalized prior to the event

  • The client must ensure access to venue or location at the agreed time

  • Any delay due to client-side issues (late access, location confusion, missing essentials) may reduce completion time

Service prices do not change based on reporting time. Early morning and pre-dawn muhurtham call times carry no additional charge.

9. Travel

Travel is charged in addition to the published service price, at actual cost. It is the only variable cost in a booking.

Within Bangalore: cab charges to the venue or residence, at actual cost.

Outside Bangalore, returning the same day: fuel, tolls and refreshments where we travel by road. No additional charge applies.

Outside Bangalore, requiring an overnight stay: a flat Overnight Outstation Charge applies once for the wedding, regardless of the number of functions, in addition to travel and stay at actual cost. Where we travel by air, flights and local transport are arranged by the client. The current figure is shown on our bridal makeup pricing page.

All travel costs are confirmed in writing before booking. Nothing is added afterwards.

10. Results and Satisfaction

Makeup and styling outcomes depend on many factors including:

  • Natural skin texture, pores, acne, scars, pigmentation

  • Skin hydration and preparation

  • Lighting conditions, weather, sweat, tears, humidity

  • Outfit colors and jewelry tones

  • Time available for completion

While MJG aims for premium results, we do not guarantee identical results to reference images since each face and skin behaves differently.

11. Photography and Image Usage

MJG may capture photos or short videos of the final look for:

  • Portfolio and showcase

  • Website and social media content

  • Brand promotions

If the client does not object during the session, it may be treated as consent.

If you want your images not to be used, or want removal later, you can email: info@mjgorgeous.com and we will take reasonable steps to comply.

12. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the website

  • attempt unauthorized access

  • copy or reproduce website content without permission

All website content, including images, text, branding, and design elements, are the intellectual property of MJ Gorgeous Makeup Studio unless stated otherwise.

13. Limitation of Liability

MJ Gorgeous Makeup Studio is not liable for:

  • delays caused by venue restrictions or client delays

  • skin reactions caused by unknown sensitivities or allergies not disclosed

  • dissatisfaction arising from unrealistic expectations or reference mismatch

  • issues caused due to third-party vendors (photography, jewelry, outfits, hair accessories, lighting)

Our total liability (if any) shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service booked.

14. Force Majeure (Unavoidable Events)

We are not responsible for service disruption due to events beyond control, including:

  • natural disasters

  • strikes, riots, accidents

  • severe illness or emergencies

  • travel restrictions or lockdowns

  • venue shutdowns or major weather disruptions

In such cases, we will attempt reasonable alternatives or rescheduling based on feasibility.

Price Validity

Prices are effective from the date shown on our pricing page and may be revised from time to time.

Any booking confirmed in writing is honored at the price agreed at the time of confirmation and is not affected by any subsequent revision.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by Indian law.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
