Consultation and Trial Flow

MJ Gorgeous publishes its bridal function prices, and airbrush and HD cost the same. Your price depends on the wedding function, not the technique: main wedding or Muhurtham ₹30,000, reception ₹27,000, Sangeet ₹25,000, engagement ₹22,500, and Haldi or Mehendi ₹18,000. Each function price includes makeup, hairstyling and saree or lehenga draping. The bridal trial is ₹3,000; travel, additional people and multi-function totals are separate. After the consultation, we confirm the suitable technique and your full total in writing.

From the trial through all the functions, MJ and team conducted in strong professionalism, and her passion and confidence for makeup and styling was clear.

I was looking for a makeup artist who could execute on some pretty particular and widely differentiated styling looks between my different functions, and the team delivered fully and beautifully. MJ has a confident calm in the way she speaks and operates, and I think it helped me stay balanced and calm between the 3:15 mornings and hecticness that comes with being a bride at an Indian wedding.

I did a mix of HD and airbrush makeup based upon the needs of the function, and the makeup was all designer quality (very important for me since my daily use products are mostly designer) and mixed to match my skin tones accordantly - with adjustments to color for lip, eye, and blush as requested.

We got so many compliments on how beautiful the makeup was - and it LASTED though the function, excited sweaty dancing at the sangeet, and happy tears.

The groom’s makeup was also executed simple to his preference but beautifully glowy (he’s now asked me to somehow do his makeup like this for every event we go to) - and MJ pulled off a beautiful Odiya style forehead makeup for the wedding morning that matched what his father had done in the 90s with crisp design.

Overall, I’m very happy that I chose to work with MJ for my wedding. She’s a clearly talented makeup artist and business woman with a passion for makeup, styling, and knowledge of different Indian and Western hair and makeup.

Ramya Achar also did an amazing job with my many different hairstyles, and brought so much volume to my thin hair with secure and neat hairstyles. The saree draping was so crisp as well, I’ll be practicing myself to hopefully replicate it one day.

All in all, 5/5 experience and I look back on the photos and videos from my wedding thinking wow I look like a princess in Vogue.

MJ is the BEST makeup artist ever! Her makeup looks sooo natural and smooth on my skin that I got compliments from literally everyone! I’m sharing two of my best looks from my wedding. Usually with other makeup artists when I look in the mirror it feels like “OMG is that me?” Coz I’ll be looking so white and so cakey, artificial! But with MJ I felt so nice and confident! She even goes to an extent to mix two or three foundations to match your exact shade and makes you look like you!

If you’re getting married, go to MJ!!!! No doubt she’s the best makeup artist for your wedding!

Oh I also need to share about how supportive and friendly the team is. I felt my Haldi jewellery was too much on me, so they went to an extent to modify my maang tika into a small and simple neck piece and elevated my whole look for the event!
